Case Management Coordinator (1) – Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
The role:
Case Management Coordinator will seek to improve the quality of Save the Children’s Child Protection case management programme in line with the Minimum Standard of Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (MSCP) Standard 15 and Case Management IA Guidelines. S/He will monitor the existing and emerging CP concerns and advocating for appropriate services and referral pathways, in line with the IA SOPs. Assessment and strengthen the suitability of programme tools and guidelines, identify staff training needs, develop training plans focusing on on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching, and strengthening supervision through leading internal case review meetings will be the key roles of this position. S/He will maintain a positive relation with Child Protection Manager, Case Management Project Officers and Case Workers.
Qualifications and experience
Education of MSc/MA/MEng level in Social Work, Human rights Law, International Relations, Development Studies or similar, or equivalent field experience
Minimum 5 years of related job experience where 3 years in management and supervisory position. Child Protection experience working in emergency contexts is preferable
Experience in monitoring and evaluating child protection programmes in emergency, transition and development contexts.
Experience in capacity building and in strengthening various duty bearers understanding of and response to child protection.
Excellent communication and influencing skills and experience in advocacy
The capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
Commitment to and understanding of child rights, the aims and principles of SC, and humanitarian standards such as the Sphere Charter and the Code of Conduct
A high level of written and spoken English.
Contract length: 03 months, possibility of extension depending on availability of funding and performance
