Senior Program Manager- Health (1), Rohingya Response
The role:
The Senior Program Manager-Health will lead the health program operations to ensure quality health services are delivered through health posts, emergency programing (Mobile Medical Teams, Diarrheal Treatment Center, and Oral Rehydration Points) and Primary Health Care Center. S/he will manage all health grants under Rohingya Response Program ensuring program funding spend in line with Save the Children policies, procedures and donor requirements. S/he will also work closely with other sector leads to integration especially looking to strengthen the links between health programs and nutrition, WASH, Protection and shelter. Line manage the health team, providing direction and guidance on competing priorities and urgencies of the response, provide stable leadership through strong communication with the CO and identify technical staffing needs for emergency programs as well as support rapid recruitment, induction and training of new staff are other key responsibilities of this role. The position will also work with Health Information System team and MEAL team to utilize the HIS and MEAL system to track program progress. The incumbent will also be responsible to lead the activities for establishing and maintaining liaison with different government, private and community level stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience:
At least 7 years’ experience of delivering health programs preferably in humanitarian settings on which at least 3 years’ of management experience
Demonstrated experience of establishing health programs including strong knowledge of health cluster and humanitarian architecture and systems.
Experience of undertaking representational duties with WHO, donors and partners and ministries of health at project and country level as well as managing multiple grants and budgets.
Good understanding of the essential principles and reality of emergency supply chain operations, and commitment to ensuring strong integration and communication between supply chain and programme design and planning before and during a deployment
Excellent proposal development and donor report writing skills.
Experience of developing and supporting teams, and the ability to lead, motivate and build the capacity of staff
Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Masters in relevant subject, M.B.B.S degree will get preference
Contract length: 12 months with possibility of extension
