Concern is initiating an ‘Emergency Nutrition Project’ in Cox’s Bazar for the Rohingya Refugees in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazaar.

Currently, Concern is looking for suitable candidate for the following position:

Field Accounts Manager: Based in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar:

The Field Accounts Manager-Field will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective financial accounting system and financial management for the Field Office and relevant projects, enabling supportive cash and banking service to staff, suppliers, partners, donors and others, including reporting to HO Dhaka and government. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring consistent, transparent and realistic budgeting, management accounting, and ensuring timely and high quality reporting to donors and government. This includes responsibility to ensure optimal use of financial resources within Concern projects and programmes and support management decision making.

Major areas of responsibility:

• Ensuring  internal control over financial management in the field office following Concern Internal System, Donor and HQ guidelines in a timely way, with complete and accurate documentation and enable smooth programme implementations;
• Ensuring the budget for field office, donor report for respective project, following donor guideline and Concern guidelines, monthly analytical report for the field management, donor and CFC and to visit the field where the operation is implemented to design a good monitoring system.
• Enabling smooth payment to staff, suppliers and partners according to the agreed deadline and compliance with the relevant policies, NGOAB rules, control mechanism and taxation rules and ensure the bank and cash reconciliation and internal control for payment from bank and cash
• Ensuring consistent and transparent financial record keeping (using Microsoft Great Plains and other software) and comprehensive documentation processes to support timely preparation of report for management, donors and government and Head Office
• Managing and communicating with the team on the their role in a manner that empowers them to deliver high quality financial support to the organization;
• Participating actively in team planning and other meetings, working to set common objectives and goals and striving to ensure these are successfully achieved.
• Orientating of team member and other stakeholders in particular the Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM).

Requirements:

• Master in Accounting/ Business Studies/Business Administration and
• CA Course completed with professional Accounting qualification (passed level 1/Application Level and
• At least 05 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of budgeting, Financial Management and MIS systems preferably in international agency.
• Experience to lead the team and to work with various stakeholders
• Knowledge of current relevant taxation laws.
• Good understanding on internal control process.
• Knowledge in dealing with govt. offices and local suppliers.
• Good understanding of development work in the Bangladesh programme.

Gross Salary Range: BDT 78887.00 – BDT 128,498.00 + other admissible benefits (festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, health and life insurance and outpatient medical)

Contract Duration: The initial project duration is up to December 2018 (with a possibility of extension subject to funding availability)
