Two Rohingya groups exchanged fire in an Ukhiya camp of Cox’s Bazar early Tuesday, leaving one youth dead.

The incident took place around 4am at Ukhiya Camp Block 10.

The deceased was identified as Bashir Ullah, 35, son of Fazu Miah of the same block.

Ukhiya Thana Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the news.

He said a gunfight took place between two groups over establishing supremacy that left Bashir Ullah critically wounded. He was taken Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital where he died. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue
